About

Bonjour!

My name is Liesl.

I was born a few decades ago with a silver spoon in my mouth, not a USB in my bum.  So this is my step from the tentative to the BOLD!   I am joining the blog-throng & while still super nervous about the squillions of I-don’t-knows running rampant in my head, I’m putting on my bombastic boots & putting one foot gloriously in front of the other!  I am finding that I am quickly swapping out my nervous bonnet for a more excited twinkling topper, & if  enthusiasm is the great hill-climber, then I am at the correct base camp!

My interests are SO panoptic that “snapshots of a girl in motion…” is the most fitting for this CyberCorner.  Anything that takes my fancy, shall find its way here, & my Moleskines will feel like they’ve stepped up in the world with the inauguration of their digital big sister!  I adore words & the English language, and if I were granted one skill, it would be to have a photographic memory so that I may drink in all of its linguistic landscape, and have it permanently seep into my brainscape!  Seriously!

In short, I’ll liberally be painting a picture with words…© while also adding my technical twists post-by-post.

Make way  –  for BallerinaBloggerini is a-comin’ through!

  4. Hello Lieslg,

#PS: How’s summer in Sydney? It’s terribly windy down here in Canberra

    • Oh, it’s never to late for good wishes, Subhan! :D

Thank you for your kind 2013 wishes. I am happily taking those onboard, and I wing them right back at you too!

I’ve been a bit m.i.a in the blogosphere, and will be returning to the ‘hood soon :)

Summer is brilliant here in Sydders! lol We’ve had a mind-melting-HOT one last week (not pleasant!), and due for more from this Thursday, but thankfully not a 40+ repeat!
I was in Canberra for Christmas :)

      Big love
      Liesl
PS: I think your literary dream is fantastic, so keep fanning that one!! :D

      • Ahem! hehe. :-)

        What is m.i.a?

Oh, wow, 40 degrees, not very different from Canbie then. It has been fine, not very hot, in the past couple of days, but it’s very windy. Is it windy in Sydney too?

Boy oh boy, we’re exchanging hellos here after nearly a year long hiatus and now we’re talking about the weather, hahaha. :-D

How come you came to Canberra and you didn’t let me know? We should have met up! Are your family here?

When I come to Sydney we should meet, yah?

And thank you for your kind encouragement. I think, hmmmm,, you’re among the very few Australians who ever say so, so I really appreciate it. Thank you again, many blessings and much love to you.. :-)

#PS: Curious. Is Liesl an anagram from Lesli? Or Lisle? hehe :-)

      • Hi Suzanne (okay to call you that?)
m.i.a means “missing in action” aka to disappear without explanation. lol

Funny, I didn’t even THINK to contact you and suggest a meet-up! Eep! lol
Often, though, when I’m in Canberra (which isn’t very often these days) I devote all of my time to the fam’, so even friends whom I’ve known for a while don’t get to see me, and me them! Eek! lol

Will definitely keep it in mind next time though – nice to meet and connect, face-to-face, with online contemporaries :)

Oh, and it’s always a pleasure to give praise and admiration where due…people like you are rare…that is, people who go after their dreams despite it being a much harder road than the norm! I believe in like-minded folk sticking together and supporting each other! :D

Sorry this response is so late, it’s been a while since I’ve visited my ‘home’ – very naughty of me to neglect lieslg as I have!!

Speak soon – hope you’re having a superb week!!

PS: No, no anagram – Liesl is my full and rounded moniker, one that A LOT of peeps often get SO wrong in both pronunciation and spelling …sigh! hahaha

  5. I loved your introduction here, Liesl! It’s very unique. I suppose I would benefit a lot from following your blog, especially because I love English language too. So there you go, I’m subscribing.

You’re an Aussie, mate? Whereabout are ya? ;-)
